Terms of Participation
1. Scope & Organiser. These terms govern participation in the community open air “Grab The Groove” on 29.08.2026 (4PM–8AM). Organiser: Grab The Groove, Warschauer Str. 59A, 10243 Berlin, Germany, contact@grabthegroove.com (the “Organiser”). By entering the event grounds, each participant accepts these terms.
2. Nature of the Event. This is a non-commercial, self-organised community gathering, by invitation only. No tickets are sold; there is no entitlement to admission, to the event taking place, or to any specific programme (incl. line-up, set times, sound system).
3. Donations. Payments are voluntary contributions (donations) towards covering costs (incl. sound system rental, logistics, effort). They are not consideration for admission and create no entitlement to participation or any service. Voluntary contributions are non-refundable, including if the event is cancelled or cut short; statutory rights remain unaffected. Payments are processed via PayPal; their terms apply in addition.
4. Admission. Entry is limited to invited persons aged 18 or over. The Organiser may carry out age checks (ID) and may refuse entry or remove persons from the grounds without stating reasons (right of the householder), in particular for violations of section 5.
5. Community & Code of Conduct. Grab The Groove is a place for everyone. Zero tolerance for discrimination, racism, sexism, homo-/transphobia, harassment, invasive behaviour or violence. Possession and use of illegal substances, and bringing weapons, pyrotechnics or glass containers, are prohibited. Instructions of the Organiser's team must be followed.
6. Nature & Leave No Trace. The event takes place in nature. Take your waste with you or use the bins provided; open fires are prohibited; be considerate of flora, fauna and local residents.
7. Health & Personal Responsibility. Participation is at your own risk. Loud music will be played over extended periods; hearing protection is recommended. Participants are responsible for their own fitness to attend, sufficient water, weather-appropriate clothing, and travel to and from the event.
8. Liability. The Organiser is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence, the Organiser is liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of event. Any further liability is excluded. No liability is assumed for items or valuables brought along.
9. Cancellation, Termination, Changes. The Organiser may postpone, interrupt or cancel the event for good cause (e.g. severe weather, official orders, safety concerns, force majeure). Participants' expenses (e.g. travel or accommodation costs) will not be reimbursed.
10. Photo & Video. Photos and video may be taken at the event to document it and announce future events (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you do not wish to appear in recordings, tell the team on site or email contact@grabthegroove.com; identifiable footage of you will then not be published, or will be removed. Commercial recordings by participants require the Organiser's consent.
11. Data Protection. This site itself collects no personal data. Event updates are shared via a public Telegram group; details can be found in the privacy notice on this site.
12. Final Provisions. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected by these terms.
